Mahalo nui for the photos of what used to be my backyard too. I especially loved the one of Mânoa Valley, which is where I was raised. When I was born, we lived in a tiny house on Tantalus.

The little ones are so cute!!

You live in such a beautiful place! I've never been anywhere - not even a lot of travel in my own country! Live in NS, been to NB, PEI (when I was like 3), and QC. Just made it across the border to the US last July - for all of two hours! Never been on a plane. Sad, huh? Although this summer I am getting the entire family passports, and next year let the travelling begin! One of my co-workers was to California for three weeks last fall, and now at the end of May he's going to England to see his cousin before she moves back to Canada! He doesn't have kids, though... That makes a big difference in the finances...

Your shawl is amazing-you rock the lace!! I can't even thank you enough for those gorgeous pictures of Hawaii-just beautiful. I would love for that to be a regular feature! how cute your kids are! they're getting so big so fast! and that is a gorgeous shawl you're working on. i believe my attention span gets shorter and shorter these days. one of the kiri "shawls" i was working on is now more like a neck kerchief. i made a lot of mistakes in that one anyway...
but wow! that ribby cardi is fantastic! rock that cardi, girl! i would be intimidated by zipper installations. and you're so daring with that natural color. i'm so prone to spilling stuff on myself...there are pen marks on my jacket sleeves that i never even knew i made, food stains...aiya.

You've really gotten into lace knitting and in a big way, huh? I like the FBS a lot. I'm hoping to make one maybe this summer. I think it's just a gorgeous pattern. It's nice to know someone else is pretty busy too. I enjoyed all of the Hawaii pictures too.
